I am a serious blueswoman and i think this movie has helped bring blues mainstream again......noticed all the commercials playing blues lately ?and the fact beyonce'
did not TRY to sing like Miss Etta was the right way to handle it.....

I agree he played lil walter with such emotion and he made you feel for a man who had many flaws but had such raw unadulterated talent. He was the best in the movie mud was good too they were all good but he was great.

This was the apex of a great movie. The oscar snub was expected, but the NAACP image snub! I guess they really are popularity contest and I'm through with all award shows. Columbus Short is a definite future superstar, where do you buy stock.

This movie is such a kiss on Oscar's cheek. Too bad he has no manners and never said, "thank you"...but we sure did. What a great movie, great time, great quick study and feast for the senses.
