This tragedy is still very troubling to me, i mean when the nose ripped away just imagine the screaming and chaos that erupted and what the passengers were thinking and when the plane started climbing in the air and then stalled and started going straight down most of the people were probably alive until impact with the water how scary is that, and no i dont think they should have showed that graphic picture of the dead woman being transfered from the boat

I agree; Tony is obnoxious. It takes a certain type of person to do his job.

btw, 8:22 way of handling body is unacceptable.
how many people earned money for this?
what is this vid about, really?

fock,
it is floating?

@gooniegoogoo62 no everyone was dead when the explosion happened. medical examiners concluded after the autopsies of the passengers that everyone was killed instanty from phenomenal whiplash which means the force of the blast broke everyones neck instantly on that plane so noone was alive presumably. but yea if someone had stayed alive the scariest experience would be for the pilots so be sittin in the cockpit knowing that there was nothing to do but wait till u hit the water

I lost my cousin in this crash, but I was never able to meet her. I know how it feels now.

@walters1992 actually in order for this to have happened, the wires for both the fuel sensor and the high-voltage system would have had to have been weathered by metal shavings from an old repair and subsequent years of vibration, or have severely corroded and been moved to crack the insulations. THEN a liquid of reasonable conductivity would have had to have fallen on to the wires in order for voltage to successfully travel down to the wing tank to make a spark. certainly not inevitable.

What a fucking retard that photographer Tony no mates is..what a completely inhumane asshole that man is. He has the nerve to slate the floating wingtip photo for being taken during the day and that his photo was first. Who gives a shit, a lot of people lost their lives that night have some respect. Fucking media are pathetic.

the lightest pieces of the structure of the plane maybe.
That's like every pieces you're touching in your life ,some are floating some not.
Airliners are not made to float.
One thing ,the pressure at 1000 feet under water and the pressure inside the airplane at 35000 feet is the same.
The structure of those airliners are made to resist of these kind of pressure.
Thickness of the cabin is less than 2cm (-1inch)...
Can anybody tell me why this single pic of wing was so significant? Need some clarification...

Because the pic was not just a "slice" of action, but was heavily symbolic of what had happened... in particular it looked like an impromptu memorial or gravestone appearing in the water to represent the death in a way which resonated with people. It wasn't nature doing that, it was the photographer and our cultural understandings of the "proper" ways to represent death in media.
