The basepath is established by the runner who has up to 3 feet to avoid the tag. Clean baserunning.

@DrumBass98 well it was at home plate you could do that because rules state u have to avoid colliding with the catcher no matter what u have to do to avoid

That was not clean base running; The runnerr was more than 3 feet out of the basepath. The Umpire's call was wrong.
