UPDATE: This poor woman has recently been diagnosed with MS.

Jennifer Gansner was scheduled for a late evening inducement on Sunday, May 21st.

After a 12 hour cervidil warmup, she began her pitocin drip.

8 agonizing hours of drug free labor followed...

Then a 1.5 hour procedure to administer an epidural anesthetic.

The drugs were good...

But 9 hours later, the baby had to be taken by c-section.

  • On ther second half of this clip, I have heard this music before, but I don't remember the name of this composition. What was the name of the song that accompanied this music? If there is anyone who remember it, please do tell us; even a name would be helpful. Thanks! :-)

  • It's the theme from Terms of Endearment

  • amazing video!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @haksiel

Nah..... he just got pantsed :P

  • did he just get stripped!?

  • @NicoleHenegar so you are one of those all natural natzis....well that's fine for you but don't down others for getting drugs. Just as I wouldn't down you for doing it naturally. My daughter was born healthy and happy in a hospital and I got an epideral at 8 cm. I think you should be proud of yourself but a baby born is a baby born and I think you come off as pretty rude.

  • i was born on the 21st of may

  • Well done, that was really nice, tasteful, but still magical :)

  • Although I don't disagree with you (would have much rather had a vaginal birth) my son was overdue which is why I was induced. Though my water was broken I labored in a number of positions (can't see this in a 2-min video). After a day and a half of labor (more than half without drugs) it was found that my son was sunny-side up and stuck off to the side, so my doctor decided on a c-section and my heart was broken. I am quite aware of what I missed, which is why we're hoping for a vbac on #2.

  • Maybe you should try laboring the way women are intended to, and not being on your back the whole time? What do you think is going to happen when you allow a dr. to put unnatural drugs into your body? Let your body do what it is made to do? For Pete's sake people its not rocket science. You don't even know what an experience you cheated yourself out of and that is the saddest part to me. I had a natural home birth and after 24 hours of intense pain, my daughter was born, healthy and naturally.
