In the meantime, all of these mortgages that these federal government agencies, we now own them because we had to bail them out, we're going to have to pour more money into it. It's a very merry-go-round. In order for them to keep up their debts, we're going to have to give them more money."

We'll try to have more government training programs.' So, whatever we put into this, is basically just going to be wasted."

$700,000,000,000 would have let the government pay down 7 million $100,000.00 mortgages. It's all tax money, that would have stabilized the housing market. As a non American I can't understand how the people let their money literally go up in flames.
