http://www.lathamcabinets.com - The second part of a window seat. This is the upper valance section. It has a one of a kind floral carving made in Mastercam and cnc routed out of alder. Once again the CNC has helped Latham Cabinets make unique, one of a kind furniture.

  • How do these work? Do you program it to do the pattern or do you have somebody instructing it?

  • @Misubi55 , I create the 2d drawing. Then I slowly bring it all to 3d in the Mastercam software. In the same software, I generate toolpathes for the CNC router to follow. Then it is converted to Gcode for any machine to run. Press start and let it cut it out. You can the same thing over and over after that, you just need sharp bits.

  • Lacks warmth, but a heckavalot less expensive than paying a craftsman to hand tool that (and alot faster too!)

  • Incredible machine! How long does the tool head stay sharp? It must be very small to do such intricate cross grain work.
