  • Very good Jimmy Dean. I bought from The Ernest Tubb Record Shop when it first was release, by mail. 5 stars

  • One of the few Jimmy Dean hits that was actually sung rather than narrated. (Though I like the narrated ones too). Thanks for posting.

  • They play this song as a dance at my family camp! i love this song :D

  • do you know who played harmonica on this tune.

  • Great Song. My Mom had an album with this song on it.

  • The guy has a backup plan, he's fortunate if he'll have another woman friend/lover before the san goes down. Their are alot of younger guys like that, they play the field and have that little black book, their called playboys. I was never one of them and I don't have a little black book...at least not the one Jimmys singing about. As a matter of fact when it comes to all the phone numbers I have to remember, I don't need a little Black Book or a cell phone. I need my laptop however and thx.

  • This was a big hit here in Australia

  • HE WAS ONE OF THE BEST!!! MY HEART STILL ACHES THAT HE'S GONE. BUT I HAVE NEVER STOPPED LISTENING TO HIS MUSIC & I'M PROUD TO SAY THAT THERE AREN'T MANY OF HIS ALBUMS/45S THAT I DON'T HAVE......THEY HAVE A WAY OF GETTING ME "OUT OF THE DUMPS" SOMETIMES! 'SEE YA IN HEAVEN BROTHER DEAN.

  • Who's playing harmonica on this? Only us old timers today would know who 'Doctor Casey' was, right old time TV fans?

  • Just a loveable guy

  • I had a 45 of this song when I was in high school.

  • RIP Jimmy. Your music is lots better than anything "they" call country today.
