On Dec. 16, 2009, the Animal Rescue League of Boston rescued a female pit bull used as a "bait dog" to train dogs for fighting from a wooded area in Hyde Park, Massachusetts. Named "Turtle" due to her proximity to Turtle Pond Parkway, she was covered in bite and puncture wounds, was feverish, infested with fleas and suffering from a life-threatening infection. She was immediately transported to Tufts Veterinary Hospital in Walpole where she continues to recover. We would like to thank the staff at Tufts Walpole for providing around-the-clock critical care. Turtle's need for assistance will continue into 2010, and she faces a long road to recovery. Her rehabilitation will likely include extensive orthopedic treatment.
To date, her medical bills total over $10,000 and your donation toward her care would be greatly appreciated. Please visit www.arlboston.org to help.
You are a real dumb ass if you actually think bait dogs are just a "bs story". What would be the point of making up such stories? Enter the world of cruel reality and evil people MrMisanthrope1.

@MrMisanthrope1--Really?? Well why don't you go to this link and read up on all the information about bait dogs if you think they are a made-up story! Just go to whatever search engine you use and type in the words "bait dogs" and see how many links show up. I wish they weren't real, but unfortunately they are.
