The whalers are pretending it's scientific purposes so they can continue to break a law that's been in place since 1986. Japan is not a poor country anymore! They needn't hunt whales! Japan is always operating behind some kind of deception, just like Pearl Harbour. Before 1986 they killed 2000 whales yearly. "Commercial" whaling was banned and made illegal in 1986. Today, the Japs kill 900+ per year for "scientific purposes". Before 1986, the Japs killed 200 per year for scientific purposes.

So you agree with IWC statment on Sea Shepherd but not japanese whaling? Hypocrite. When IWC made the public statment aout Japan, the japanese govenrment released a media article on how IWC cannot make statments like they did and have no level of power. Well I have to agree with japan on this one and say the statment about Sea SHepherd is the same and holds no power.
