99 Procharged Cobra vs. 150 Shot LS1 owner of LS1 had issues on 2 of the runs

Racing a 150 shot LS1 in LS1 owner's defense he claims nitrous was shutting on and off on first 2 runs for all the nay sayers. He called me out it just wasn't his day I guess.

@vanessahmoreno22 actually the DOHC 32 valve was the comp for LS1 96-02. The 03/04 was just the same engine but supercharged.If you blow any of the 32 valve engines the ls-1 is toast. LS-1 and fords 32 valve were both rated the same HP at 305.But the mustangs were way lighter than the camaro. I Think the camaro SS 2001-02 were rated at 350 hp with cam and header mods with a 6 speed t-56 transmittion,And fords response was 420 hp supercharged 03 cobra terminator tremec t-56 6 speed.

The new 5.0 is just badass.. 03/04 cobras as well. BUT... anything is fast with 20lbs of boost crammed down its throat.. forge a ls1 and run 20psi... see what happens. I know this is gonna start all kinda ford vs chevy bullshit. I have had procharged cobras, grand nationals, lt1, ls1's etc. I just love AMERICAN MUSCLE. As a matter of fact my next car will be a 04 cobra so not just a "fan boy"

ford doesnt know technology they copyed the ls1 intake they finally got smart cause their engines were always shitty until they came out with the 03/04 cobra with a supercharger thats the only fucken ford mustang that gives the ls1 comp

@bmxman242 well i was leaning more towards the ls engines with that statement not the vortecs. anyway, any motor can push big hp but it doesn't count if it will break in a week. how long do you think a stock bottom end on an lq4 could handle 700-800whp. its certainly not as strong as a forged motor. and sure you can rip off a the stock s/c and throw on a turbo. No internal work even needed and you could run 20psi just like that
