Total Lost: 63.2 lbs

My first official gain since surgery. I ate out way too much with friends this week and didn't go to the gym at all.

Goals for next week:
1. Don't eat out after this weekend for awhile.
2. Lose what I gained plus more to keep up the progress on losing 100lbs. by July 14.
3. Get to the gym 3 times next week.
4. Track everything I eat and don't let anything slip by me! :D

  • Wow! you are doing fantastic in your weight loss!! Keep up the good work! I hope to get my band next month. :o)

  • Thanks for the support! How are you doing?

  • I guess i am wondering if i can get any advice.. I am thinking about doing the lapband but i am sooooo nervouse about it! I love to workout but the food is my issue! I guess I am just worried About having something like this.. any advice Amy or anyone else?

  • My advice as a pre-op would be to learn everything you possibly can. Talk to as many people you can in all different stages of the process of wls. Watch a ton of YouTube videos..they really helped me. Please let me know if you have ANY questions! :D

  • I'm 5 weeks out and I do not have a fill. I can eat everything! I hate it. I am exercising a lot, that has never been my problem. The problem is eating too much. I need the fill to come soon or I'll start gaining weight. It's ridiculous.

  • Just try not to eat. If I feel hungry and I do sometimes I just drink some hot tea or water or eat a sugar free jello. Try that hun! Have you scheduled your fill yet? I don't eat over 1/2 a cup even if I am hungry I just stop. I know it's hard, but it's been working for me. Keep your head up!! :D

  • Yeah, I just got my first fill today, actually. I had the flu 2 days ago so I lost 8 pounds lol. Thank God for the flu because I think it restarted my weight loss (sigh). I haven't eaten for a couple days now, and since I got a fill I can't eat anything but liquids. I'm 5 weeks out, and since surgery I have only lost 23 pounds (8 of that from the flu) so I am feeling panicky lol. Thanks for your response.

  • I NEVER drink sugary drinks. I only drink water and crystal light. I know that portions out are too big. Obviously I can't eat but 1/2 a cup anyway and I usually eat fish out. I can't eat steak because of the band ever again anyway.

  • don't drink any surgary drinks, that really helps :]

it's better for you in general. That and you have to realize the portions of most restaurant food is WAY too big. if you go to a restaurant they usually serve a 7 ounce steak when the proper portion is a 4 ounce steak.

  • That is a lot for me! It's so inspiring that you are so committed to it and you stick to it so well! I can't have children either with my PCOS and my plan is to lose my weight through grad school, get married and a job then finally we can start a family! :D
