My god it's been so damn long since I played this game. It was an Xmas present, but my parents would always put the presents under the tree a couple weeks early. So when they were gone the next day I opened the present that I knew was DW2, switched the cartridge out of the box with the first one, rewrapped it, and was able to play this one a good 2 weeks before I "got it." My parents never had a clue.

The big problem along that final path was the insta-party kill the RANDOM encounters could use X_X.

This was the more "oldschool RPG" style game. It wasn't like the games that came later that gave bosses like 600,000 hit points and fighting them a long snorefest with no real tactics involved.

Love the final boss music... very epic. The main thing that pissed me off about this game was when enemies used the "Defeat" or "Sacrifice" magic... it's so cheap. Made Rhone a lot less fun. With Malroth, you basically just have to get lucky that he won't use healall.

Is it just my copy or do the enemies appear in this game just way too much!? I just finished it for the first time and it was ridiculously hard but the enemies coming at you almost every step, I threw the controller numerous times. I would kill em take a step and then there would be more. Yes, some times I could walk a ways but not very often. Did you notice this? I kept wondering why they programmed it like that it was just ridiculous to me! It kept pissing me off!

Yeah it's supposed to be like that. Thats why I think it's the Hardest Dragon Warrior game. The programmers were merciless with the number of encounters they threw in. Especially on the Road to Rhone, that place is crazy hard.
