  • you can definitely see the difference between blackbelts and the rest, although some are not even arsed to do it right despite being a great honour to work with Do Ju Nim

  • @Brucemee This technique may seem 'wildly impractical', but for one who studies a martial art, nothing is ever done for no reason. As you can see, this particular kick requires a great deal of coordination: Balance, speed, strength & skill are ALL challenged. And when those abilities are honed, EVERY aspect of your studies benefit. I've never used this kick in either sparring nor my job, but mastering it benefits every other facet of my studies as a whole. It's crucial to always push yourself.

  • @Brucemee That's merely YOUR opinion...

  • Does it make sense to spend much time practicing wildly impractical techniques like this?

  • Love Ji Han jae. I train with Master Scott Yates, Master Allebach at one of GM MacKenzie's schools and have the opportunity to train with DoJuNim a few times now. What a great art...the kicks can be very difficult to master.

  • you got to respect ji han jae

  • Yes, we did 160 kicks that day. The 25 Sin Moo fundamental kicks then 8 variations of each. It was my honor to learn from DoJuNim, The very man who introduced the foot sweep. But yes, this is always the same kick shown here. I felt my legs for about 2 days after.

  • nice!but allways the same kick!!
