This is part 2 of a video created by Cindy Pitner, Summer Pitner's Nana. I am trying to come to terms with the idea that my granddaughter died as a result of a crash involving a drunk driver. No one will ever be charged with Summer's death because Summer's Daddy was turning left when the crash occurred. That is not the complete frustration I am feeling. I would have hoped and prayed that this young woman would have learned something after being involved in a crash that killed a little 8 year old girl and it would have changed her behavior... especially since she had no real consequences for her behavior. She was given another chance to change her behavior, but instead in June of 2007 (not even 9 months later) Stacy got another DUI!! What is it going to take for drunk drivers, not just Stacy, but others out there who have seemingly "got away" with serious crimes... I don't want another person to feel this kind of pain! I have decided to speak out & tell Summers story the only way I know how... PLEASE WHEN WATCHING MY VIDEOS:

MEET SUMMER ~ MY ANGEL,
SUDDEN DEATH STOLE MY SUMMER &
STACY ARE YOU SORRY... part 1 & 2

YOU STOP AND THINK IF YOU DECIDE TO DRIVE AFTER YOU HAVE BEEN DRINKING AND YOU DON'T DRIVE, EVEN IF YOU "THINK" YOU ARE OKAY TO DO IT!! YOU JUST NEVER KNOW WHEN THIS COULD HAPPEN TO YOU OR SOMEONE YOU LOVE!!!

visit Summer's memorial page and get to know our angel @ www.myspace.com/4ever8oursummerangel

  • My condolences to the Pitner family..I hope one day you do get that apology because I know how much it would mean for you to hear it. It will never bring your beautiful daughter back but at the very least it may allow you to get on with your lives a little bit better knowing that she is truly sorry for her stupid actions. It is so wrong what happened & you deserve justice...RIP Summer xxx

  • @samjo2770 It took 2 years but I did indeed get an "I'm so sorry" from Stacy ... a lot has changed since this video was made and progress is made in my ability to forgive Stacy for taking Summer from me ~ it does not change the facts of what her action caused, but it has helped me to personally deal with the bitterness in my heart that was eating me alive! Stacy has a long road to recovery for her actions. I can honestly say today that I want her to be successful in her life~ that is progress.

  • To Summer's family and friends....Although several years have passed since your angel went to Heaven too early and by the hands of a drunk driver, Stacy. I applaud you for the forgiveness in your heart for Stacy, but I am afraid she will continue to go on drinking and maybe killing another individual. She will have to answer to the Lord someday. The laws don't seem to be held up by our Justice System. My heart goes out to you........

  • im so sorry for your loss, the justice system needs to really take a look at itself.

  • I think they need to be harsher on driers that drink and drive! REALLY!!! They are just repeat offenders!

  • She's sorry she got caught!!!

  • Life is too short to take the chance of drunk driving. I like to drink sometimes, but there are so many options. Designated driver, drinking at your house, or if you're lucky, just walking to the nearest bar. Nowone should have to bury their baby or child.

  • OMG. i had a DUI 2 years ago. Thank God i didnt injure or kill anyone. Fortunately there was no accident at all. I cried watching this video. I havent drank and drove since. I could never live with myself if I did this to someone. I hope time helps to heal the pain. Videos like this may save someone elses life by affecting one person and keeping them from drinking and driving. Buzzed driving is drunk driving! My heart aches for your family> God bless you all.

  • our heart and soul goes out to you and your family , it is a nightmare that will never go away, people tell you that it will but the pain is always in your heart like a crushing weight , we will pray for you whole family , beverly j obrien & patrick j obrien

  • The fact that she did the same thing AFTER she had so tragically destroyed the life's of Summer's family shows a total lack of remorse for her actions. I admire Summer's mother in her ability to forgive. I know I would find it impossible. But I understand it. You have to move on with your life and forgiving, for some, is a part of that process. Summer will always be just a thought away. She will always be a cherished member of your family and I send my sincere condolences to you from England.

  • This is disgusting! How in the world could she DRINK AND DRIVE again? I will never forget this story as long as live. I think if Summer's family would be willing to share their story with High School students it may prevent another victim of DUI. RIP Summer-beautiful ANGEL!
