2011 Gaithersburg Book Festival Featured Author - Rita Mae Brown

Rita Mae Brown is a New York Times best-selling author, Emmy-nominated screenwriter, poet, and former political activist. She has published more than 30 books of both fiction and non-fiction, most notably 1973's "Rubyfruit Jungle," the "Sister Jane" series, and the "Mrs. Murphy" series. Her new novel, "Hiss of Death" (Bantam), is the latest Mrs. Murphy Mystery.
