If they were really studying their Scriptures they would see that what they have been teaching for the last 100 and some years has nothing to do what is going to happen in the latter days. They dont teach anything about the Watchers returning and deceiving the world.

But no, it is crazy, and if human kind continues to progress into the direction of self-destruction (though not always intentionally), then our earth with be eradicated very soon. Thankfully, Jesus will not allow that to happen and He is coming back for those who have accepted him as Lord and Savior. Man that gets me excited! :D

@brendos444 When Christ said in Luke 17 that "The kingdom of God is not coming with signs to be observed... For behold, the kingdom of God is in your midst." What does he mean? I think he means that in the incarnation of Jesus Christ, the Kingdom has already arrived. New creation has broken thru in the present age of sin and death and we are to build for God's King right now in anticipation of the time when God will renew the whole world.

so there are all these problems in the world. the question is why aren't Christians (including myself) doing more about the environment and the poor instead of worrying about the when the "end of the world" will come? I just don't buy his thesis, from a bibilical perspective and a secular perspective. Yes ppl are always going to attracted to the kind of gnostic/dualistic escapism David is preaching. Much harder to do what Christ taught and herald the kingdom of God in the here and now and do it!

@xpsalm119x Agreed, but Jesus does warn us to beware deception in the last days, and if someone says Jesus is in the field or the city, not to follow. Watchers are in the Book of Enoch quoted in Jude, but that book isn't authoritive, and I haven't read it.

@RanonahBhatIsrael People do speak against Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses. In my experience people disparage those groups openly amongst Christian circles, and don't know very much about SDAs at all. When I have heard people speak against them, they don't name the group, unlike when they disagree with Scientology or the LDS church.

Frankly more Protestants speak against Catholics than likely all those groups combined, and I disagree with much of their teachings but that doesn't make them right.

For those who would doubt Biblical accuracy, there are many ways to see it's truth. Look up the biblical accounts of ancient civilizations that were thought to be myth. Civilizations that were chronicled in the bible very accurately.
