age of wonders was so much like master of magic, but better, i used to play master of magic, but when i found this game, i started playing it a lot,i like it so much, i play with simple combat like warlords 2 cause i dont feel like moving my dudes all over the place. Great game, one of the best. my other favorite is HOMM 3

@DasTasche hehe that's why i mention it is my best game for a turn based one..i did play other genre of games but mostly prefer RPG, so overall... the most preferred game for me is either BG2 or PS:T:)

@SubBlaze1 My favorite games of all time is the HoMM series actually (not newest one). But yeah it's not bad but not the best either but that's just me, what I think. I don't got a problem with you thinking AoW is the best, just happy you have found the turn-based game that suits you the best, people just don't think the same sometimes.

@DasTasche LOL, i believe it is still the best Turn-based-Game i had ever play, it is better than Heroes series with the better storyline and fighting mechanism, combine with a good+fun terrain exploring, it is also deep in strategy as one can even beat the odds with fewer armies but better strategy.. I think it is even better than AoW2, as AoW2 lack the story in dept to drive us on .
