@HenfieldWill All right. Thanks!

Part II of the question:
(b) More importantly, there seems to be a fairly noticeable transition piece you play live but left out in the tutorial: between the second repetition of theme A and just before theme C. This transition seems important, can you add it?
I apologize in case my ears fooled me -- otherwise I'd be happy for some answers! THANKS!

this is by far the most comprehensive guitar tuition video on the internet no matter the song!

Many thanks for putting this on. This is a piece I've always loved and, although I'm a keen guitarist, I don't read music so working it out was a bit beyond me. So to have it set out in such a clear way is great. I have had to adapt it slightly as I can't quite get my thumb around to hold down the E string on the first fret but it seems to work all the same.
Anyway, thanks again for helping spread the music of the great and now sadly late Davy Graham. It's much appreciated.

@HenfieldWill Thanks Will - appreciate your kind comment - thanks again for a great channel!
Hi Will, thanks for the great tutorial! I have two questions for you which concern things that sound different when you play it on the tutorial live to when I play it (or when the tabs are shown):
(a) Something in bar 7 (theme B) sounds very different when you play it live (as opposed to the recording while showing the tabs). I don't think it's just a matter of speed and I cannot really figure out what happens.
(Sorry, not used to posting, there will be part II.)

@EdinAndCountin Well, two comments here: (1) When I made the video 4 years ago, there were both size & time limits on what you could post on YT. So, no time to include the little break within the 100Mb/10 min limitations of YouTube - really only time for the absolute basics of the tune. (2) When I play live at speed it's not easy to recreate the slow, clockwork-like playing required for tutorial purposes. Adrenalin kicks in and you're in performance mode... such is life. :-)

Thanks for this - you inspired me to post a video response of me playing this wonderful tune that Davy Graham gave to us - it was at a live gig just about four weeks after he died, I dedicated it to him then, and do so again now. Thanks again, Best wishes, Dave Merrick (Small Days)
