On three occassions over the course of a single week, Senator Tom Harkin basically admits that the current health care 'reform' bill is nothing more than a stepping stone towards a government takeover of the health care industry.

What kind of idiot STILL doesn't realize that "public option" means a government takeover? How many times does, Obama, Barney frank and Maxine Waters have to say it before you get it? The bill said that if you ever chose the public option or you lost your private insurance and had to take the public option, you can NEVER go back to private insurance? Why do you think they would put this in the bill? If you don't think it is designed for eventual total government control, you're a moron!

The government "competes" with the private sector like an alligator competes with a duck. It consumes the private sector.

The "government option" would have access to unlimited capital via taxation. Not so for the private sector. There is no "competition."

Government option is single payer.

Harkin doesn't say the phrase "single-payer" anywhere in this video. To try to portray these statements as conveying the notion that the "Ultimate Goal is Single-Payer" is an utter misconstrual of the facts. There is a great difference between single payer health care, in which collects all medical fees and pays for them through a single government body, and the public option, which is a government-run insurance company that participates in the market like any other company.
