As part of Opera on the BBC, Choirmaster Gareth Malone has been given the task of finding 50 teenagers from across East Sussex, to sing on the main stage of one of the world's most prestigious opera houses, Glyndebourne.

I'm the girl who sings in the beginning and my heart aches when I remember this and what an incredible and unforgettable experience it was... I feel so happy I got the opportunity to be part of it!

Gareth Malone, you stole my heart -me childpsychologist in Holland-. I work with problemchildren and I 'm always looking for "sleeping" competences in children. And try to awake them, as you did with the Glyndbourn-kids. The relation competence-respect is often totally new to the children. The competence can be in music (for me the noseflute is a working wonder), but in footbal too. And do not forget that once the competence-respect base is made, learningproblems in school are less important.

@DriveShoreLake "Glee" has no relevance to this, it's purely an "Entertainment" Program portrayed by Actors. This is REAL. You should be able to get BBCi player and watch much of the series.

This is by far one of the best programs on television here in the States. I love Gareth - he's as cute as a button. But it's his heart, passion, obvious love for people that make him shine. The only thing we have to compare here is Glee. While some find it entertaining - there's too much soap opera in it. The Choir is the real deal - thanks to whoever made the brilliant decision to share it.
