  • we love going to Mexico every winter and I love the people there....it is my "most favorite" place to go so thank you!!

  • they are the red "dry" chilies that you see at Christmas time, that are hung as decoration . they also come in a bag on the Mexican aisle in the grocery store!

  • Thank you! My husband asked me to make him some enchilada's. I don't like enchilada's, Well now I do! I normally use a can of sauce but didn't have any. Came across your video and happened to have all the ingredients. Let me tell you something... IT WAS DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!! As soon as we finished dinner and I picked up the kitchen I had to rush to the computer to let you know. Gracias!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is how we make it and Yes, My family is Hispanic. =} This is our preferred method of making enchilada sauce! There are many ways to make it, like many other foods like. Tamales and Pozole you will find different methods and ingredients to make the same foods. Great job!

  • you must have been mexican in your past life lol. I am mexican and my mom did them the same way except we didnt fry the onion we just added it raw but theats a good idea for more flavor. OH and quick tip when you add the chili to the frying pan put the pan over the sink so that way the chili doesnt get all over the stove. Also works with refried beans.. Loved your video.

  • want to bet, mi amiga????

  • Nah, I think there MUST have been a language barrier, or else the Mexican teacher is a racist, and was snickering at the Gringa behind your back. There needs to be a roux first, as a foundaton. Can't just have chili's, onions, garlic, and spices. Nice try though~

  • You did a great job!

  • I liked the video. Thank you for talking so nicely about the Hispanic culture, its always nice when someone appreciates the beauty of our simplistic life and not only focus on the negative aspects.

  • Wow
