I think you misunderstood her Arash. She is saying that the music type they're performing [Persian Flamenco-Reggae] has not existed in Iran and that Iranian youth were not exposed to western music after the revolution, which is true. Today due to the power of Internet and access to satellite TV's Iranians are being introduced to a broader range of music but before that- 5-10 years a go- finding music in Iran was pretty difficult.

Well I've heard some of their works.they're pretty good.BUT Iran is not such a place which she mentioned.
There are milions of musiciens iran who so many of them are much more talented and masterful than their band.Tehran Symphony Orchestra is one of the best orchestras in Asia as well as Tehran superior conservatory of music(music school).I used to be double bass player in Tehran Symphony Orchestra...
