Alan shearer won the greatest trophy of all... the chance to become a legend for the team he supported all his life and go down in history.... i'm pretty sure that means more to him than any trophy he could of won with man united or anyone else.

Imagine if he was still playing for newcastle and england. He would have destroyed the championship and he would be a excellent partner with rooney up front for england. just a shame he retired in 2006 when he could have been playing for at least 2 more years, i mean hes only 39 now, he will be 40 next month btw, so he still could have played.
