I don't think this is a hateful comment at all. In fact, I'm surprised you're the first person who has raised the issue: Yes, I am making fun of someone's death, and yes, I am being disrespectful, and yes, I understand that to some it will be viewed as offensive. I do believe, however, that I make some broader observations, as well.
Everyone dies, and death has been fodder for all kinds of commentary- much of it even comedic. I WILL die, and you are welcome to make all kinds of fun of me.
