  • In my opinion, broadcast journalism is where it's at, when it comes to getting paid a cut above a living wage. Newspaper writing internships are everywhere. Writing about cows will be the best stories you write. Moving to urban areas to write for papers means that you will be writing spin to accommodate the local palate.

If I could leave you with one thing, this is it. Get your doctorate's in Journalism. Schools usually don't have this major. Teach it. America needs journalism professors.

  • Hey guys!

I just want to add that I know PRECISELY how you guys feel. Even though I only had an Associate's in Journalism, I had a horrible time either getting an internship or a job. While Mary is right about not being "lazy" about searching for an internship, traveling to search for one costs MONEY. Money that I didn't have and money a lot of folks don't have.

Journalism is a PAIN to get a job in unless you know someone who can "grease the skids" for you.

    Have fun, guys!

    Robert Landrum
