The 2nd law of thermodynamics applies ONLY to a CLOSED SYSTEM. You are trying to apply it to open systems.

Evolution has nothing whatever to do with Cosmology
Evolution is not necessarily 'upward' if by that you mean better for our purposes. It has no intended outcome.
Evolution is not random. It is random mutation and natural selection - which is far from random.
Entropy only applies in closed systems. Entropy is NOT applicable to open systems such as the earth where new energy enters from the sun.
