  • Ok, those people already lived in an industrial area BEFORE WM came in. Beckman's had been there for years. Now, there's a Holiday Inn Express and Burger King across the street. Is that WM's fault too? I laughed when she said they wouldn't be able to let their kids play in the street anymore. I seriously doubt that old fart's cracks are from truck traffic.

  • oh yeah and they dont idle thier trucks because its against the law. trucks have what they call APU's. next time that old bat knocks on a trucks door he should call the federal marshall and have her arrested for violating federal law for interrupting his mandated 10hr break period.

  • omg....lol...quit complaining people....i live maybe 100 yards from a railroad track u get used to alot of noise...i am currently tryin to get employed with walmart distribution...so they prolly created a lot of jobs in that area...so quit cha bitchin and deal with it lol

  • Wal mart does not care about the complaints because all they see are dollar signs .

  • they should just be glad thier city has business to pay for thier police and firefighters. i live in a town thats mostly union workers and i dont like unions but the company that employs those union workers pays for the services i might have to use someday.

  • @wcbuckeye then walmart would be sued, and prolly forced to change all of their management, and procedures...

  • @wcbuckeye i work at a distribution center, and i have to say... as far as noise goes... the fact that walmarts shifts start at 4am, and 4pm, there is never a quiet moment... as far as their other complaints.... i must admit, i was pretty pissed when i found out that in blackouts, sever weather, or other disasters, the states priorities are hospitals, WALMART, homes, schools ect.... they should talk to employees though... if someone did, then actually checked in the warehosue,

  • The trucks they are talking about that park in the middle of the road are not Wal Mart Drivers. WM does not allow their drivers to stop there because It is AGAINST THE LAW! There are 2 other industrial buildings down the the same street and there is truck traffic going to both. Also, with the Denny's, Burger King, & 2 hotels (which Wal Mart did not have anything to do with) there are a lot of truckers using those services. These peoples problem should actually be with the city zoning department.

  • I understand they live on a dead end and that the kids play in THAT street, but watch your kids! They shouldn't be anywhere near the street where the trucks travel! The lady in red says "the trucks don't pay attention". Actually Wal Mart was awarded the Safest Fleet Award by the American Trucking Association several years in a row. Google ATA Safest Fleet & see 4 yourself. As danieljw32 says, it is illegal 2 idle a truck, period. When the APU runs, U can't hear it past 75 ft away. Enough said.

  • I understand some of these people's points, but when it comes to the noise factor, I lived across the street from Midway airport, you get used to it!!!!!
