Just a counter point to Giant Bomb's 30 minute cold start ;-) I'm a total noob but I wanted to show it's not that long and drawn out a process.

This is probably as fast as I can boot the A-10C without scrambling (ditching IFFCC BIT, INS alignment). Sorry if the view swims too much; I leave my trackIR as 1:1 as I could make it, I found it a little annoying to have to fight deadzones all the time.

A couple of messups; I'd left my throttle EAC/RDR-ALTM on before starting the sim, so I had to readjust them, causing a warning.

Also note that I don't shut down the APU after engine 1, and ack the APU gen warning before starting the right engine. This lets me start both engines without having to wait for pressure to build. I'm not sure it's the "right way" but it works for me and feels solid.

  • @sp00x Because in real life, flying a plane is comparable to office work.

  • How do you get the camera to move like that?

  • Some day someone will probably make an all-too-realistic game about the joys of office work and filling out forms and applications, and all sorts of bureaucracy.
