Hagbourne Hill, Upton, A417, Blewbury

The last section is a bit of a jump from Steventon. I missed out getting up through Steventon Copse, along to East Hendred, up to the Wantage Cycle Route, through AERE Harwell and up Hagbourne Hill. Forgive me, I was running out of camera battery and wanted to get this bit.

I start on top of Hagbourne Hill with fabulous views across the east end of the Vale of the White Horse towards the Thames. A speedy descent is halted by a road, then down into Upton running not far of 30mph all the way. Through Upton and along the A417 to Blewbury at up to 25mph.

This A road is one of the only ways out of Blewbury still. It's okay in this direction buth the other way is hard uphill with, due to the vegetation, unsighted fast moving traffic all the way. This is an accident waiting to happen if we want cycling to take more of a role in our journeys.
