@morgasm657 i dont ever want to knock anyones videos /dogs, and im not, but i dont think these dogs are evn in the same league as any conventional lurcher. i think the speed has been bred out of these many years ago in favour of their showing ability. 25 seconds to run 270 metres is not fast. generally 18 seconds for 300 yards(which this would equate to) is considered competitive. and thats around a circuit as well.. but as i said every body to there own.

afgans? dont like the look of them, much prefer smooth dogs for coursing, you can see the raw power in the dog, with that furry thing you cant see shit, its got about as much form as the plastic bag lure its chasing. great dogs nonetheless and i know that what a dog looks like has absolutely nothing to do with there ability in the field, but i would be lying if i said i liked how they look.

Don't watch this video if you don't like afghans. That's easy.
In the end of the video you can see a fox terrier as well. What do you think of him? We have official competitions both in racing and coursing in Hungary. It takes 25 seconds to run in 270 meters for them.

title didnt tell me it was afghans. i like fox terriers, generally a fairly healthy breed, as long as you enjoy your dogs, thats all that matters, i hope you have long years of enjoyment, coursing with your hounds, but i suggest that you get them behind a real hare and see the difference.

By the way, they are not my afghans. I was just the cameraman :) The foxterrier is mine.
