I know, they're actually not bad - and the colour looks way better in person, than on video. I think Surrey should have kept that colour, or at least gone to black/neon green, because EVERYONE is doing white/red now...

Btw, this truck was taken out of service two months ago, due to a lack of funding from the city. So instead of having 6 guys on duty, there are only 4 with one engine. Fleetwood is a big neighbourhood, and with only 3 ambulance stations in the city, they do need the coverage.

You need more full time Paramedics and Ambulances. Not more Fire Fighters to attend medical calls. The Fire service is a huge Province wide bandaid for the BC Ambulance service. Using the first responder system means the Government doesn't have to hire as many full time Paramedics or purchase as many Ambulances.. The Government saves so much money at the expense of all the volunteer and career fire departments Province wide. It's really a sad situation!!

I know. It's the paramedics that are the unsung heroes, yet firefighters get all the credit. Not that they don't deserve it, but with the shortage of ambulance resources, firefighters seem to get more funding, because politicians see the statistics of f/f's showing up faster than paramedics. But I was just talking about how the City of Surrey is stupid, and decides to cut emergency services so that they can give themselves a raise :(

But they say it's because of a "$15 million shortfall"

@MrProfire , I hear that they are only going to be transporting their own City Employees? This will turn sour when it all comes together.

Any idea when they are getting their new Rescue/Ambulances?

@911caddy Can't you see where this is going? Fire and EMS out of the fire halls in Metro Vancouver. Coming to a city near you and in the not to distant future. Just hopefully after i'm retired cuz i'm not interested in being a body snatcher.
