My guess is that playing from the front of her lips might make it sensitive. When you play from a different angle it may not hurt as much.

Has anyone evr made flute playing look anymore beautiful or inspireing? I loved this, but I noticed the air hole in her mouth was at the side. When I play my air hole is in the centre, does it sound better if you play from the side? I guess it's something I could try and get used to if it does...
