  • hello?! you guys are THE foundation of the band. Us guitarists would sound thin without you guys!

  • Piccolo basses just overcome the idea of the bass being "unversatile". You get the sound of a guitar, but the versatility of playing many other different styles. I'm not dissing the guitarists or the guitar, it's just that bass>guitar.

  • what size of strings you are using?

  • @Jakfrost944 Spector makes a "shorty" bass that's just a hair over 30"...that's probably what the bass in this video is.

  • Are you sure this bass is a piccolo ? It looks like a tenor to me ...The one that Stanley Clarke uses...

  • What is the scale length of this bass? Can you tune a 34" scale up the octave with piccolo strings? I've heard you can't without a slightly shorter scale.

  • @Sambou96 The first four strings on a guitar EADG are actually an octave higher than a bass guitar. And a piccolo bass is also an octave higher than a normal bass. So essentially it is the same as the first four strings of a guitar, but you know, just bigger guage strings, wide string spacing, and just that sexy bass guitar timbre.

  • @Drunkcitymusic

A Piccolo bass is actually an octave lower than guitar, and an octave above a normal bass, and there are things you can't do on a guitar, such as slap, because of the tiny string spacing. The scale of the neck also affects the tone massively, piccolo bass is a totally different instrument to guitar.

  • Kudos man!

  • Wow

  • This is amazing. It fills the groove slot but also clearly takes the lead with this song.

  • He plays the bass like it is a legitimate instrument, hat's off to him.
