Eugenics is a dirty word. It is usually associated with forced sterilization, infanticide and all sorts of violations of human rights. But what about modern liberal consumer-driven eugenics? With the coercive and harmful aspects removed, is it still wrong?

I'm glad that Sandel recognizes the close relationship between education and designer babies. It's refreshing to see. Too often people try to make their stance to be something much _better_ than it really is in an effort to win an argument. Things never tend to be black and white.

Sandel is a really good ethicist. I've seen another video of his where he discusses same-sex marriage. He has a really great way of uncovering the underlying issues.
