Susan Hampshire was a well known face on British TV in the 60's and 70's. Her wikipedia page makes no mention of her recording career. Anyway, here is a record I found of hers. The verse is actually better than the chorus. This is a Mike Leander arrangement.

  • You mention Susan on UK TV in the 60's and 70's but don't forget another six years as Archie's mum in "Monarch of the Glen", from 2000 to 2005. Maybe they should have used this song for the theme music! Thanks for posting it.

  • @chygwelanmeneth oh yes of course.

  • Is that a strobe speed check around the label edge?

  • @TheBeebopper Perhaps. I don't know, but an interesting fact if it is.

  • Hi Susan, you look great

  • @inshreds45 It seems to be on the Decca demos, I havn't got one to see. Use a neon lamp next to it to see.

  • @inshreds45 ,

    Will do.

  • @WhiteCamry probably not. This was the better side I reckon.I can email you it if you send me your email address.

  • @inshreds45 ,

Do you plan to post it?

  • @WhiteCamry Hi, "When The World Was Our Own" was the B-side.
