Training a clever black labrador puppy

This is our 9 week old black lab puppy called Banjo, and my daughter Brenna, who taught him to 'sit', lie 'down', and 'shake' hands at the age of 7 weeks. He's such a clever pup - food is his great motivator - he would be willing to learn calculus if there was a treat to be had :P , although Brenna rewards him with food randomly so he'll always do the tricks whether there's food or not in the hopes that eventually he'll get a treat! Brenna's done a great job on him. She's in the middle of teaching him to 'spin' around.

he's cute but u can do a lot more with that puppy cause my black lab can sit,stay,lay down,shake, shake with other paw,bang (plays dead),roll over, put your paws in the air u are under arrest,jump,come,(put treat on nose and she waits with thetreat still there until we say ok),and much more!

@aaliyahraks actually my black lab, who is now ten, when he was that age he was learning to shake, and high five, and lye down. its is pretty common with black labs or any lab i would guess, they are so smart.

yeah me and my brother taughtours to pound it, shake and high five. when he shakes he does it with his left paw, when he high fives, he gets his right paw waay high like raising his hand. and for pounding it, it is like shake only at the end he grips.. lol. lying down is easy for him to do dont really have to tell him twice.

i love black labs they are so smart.
