Back in February 2008, we began shooting a Star Wars fan film called Redemption. Unfortunately, we never got as far as making what you see here.

So, in April, I decided to enter it into the sixth annual Lightsaber Choreography Contest but it was disqualified for lacking actual saber choreography.

So now, I present to you the High Definition release of Between Light and Darkness featuring the visual effects of Ben McEwan and the epic musical talents of Morten Malvik!

  • I have to say that your acting and choreography are terrible....However, I am glad at least someone in the LCC bothered with a backstory and added emotion to the fight.

98% of all "lightsaber" battles have one thing in common.....they have NO, ZERO understanding of the SITH. In addition to that, they provide a flashy show; not a battle....."lets all just attack each others weapons!!!!!"

Whatever, good video. BUT, do some research....plz.

Well, it's always good to hear some honest feedback. Thanks!

  • The video was impressive. I like how the jedi had the original attitude of a jedi. He had much mercy for his brother. The evil brother was great, but if he really wanted to kill his brother he would have used the force to get that lightsaber back at the end and killed his brother. O i can help make that choreography alot stronger. very nice though!

  • Perhaps that's just the Light Side of the Force beckoning him to reconcile. ;-)

  • Do you have any future fights planned for an inside battle? You could have a lot more control on light that way as you already know, I think busting out an interior, dramatically lit scene would go great with the mood and choreography you already have. Other than that very nice work.

It lead us no where. :-p

  • see i completely disagree with 420neoflash420, see, in this film fair enough the choreography's not the greatest but i didn't see nothing wrong with their acting, their acting is completely un sub par and is actually really good for ameteurs right?, keep at it guys i enjoyed this entry more than most :)

  • how do you make those lightsaber props?

  • i think it's really cool...the editing is really snappy and the score is wicked and the two guys act the scene pretty well.....it's a job well done keep making movies guys!

  • EPIC!!!!
