My mom has thi hitachi tv since she was around 15 in México i think its an 85 or 84 im not sure and i love that tv but its really old that tales sometime to warm up and show up the channels in the screen sometimes would turn off by itself that she would take out the screws and see whatever inside but yea i like that tv its still functioning
You're probably not running graphics at the LCD panel's native resolution.
Try running your graphics at maximum resolution; the maximum the panel can handle. This will be the native resolution of the panel, which will allow optimal image quality.
CRT displays, OTOH, are far more flexible and could run at several different resolutions without losing quality and detail the way an LCD could.
LCDs are at their best only at their rated maximum resolution.
It's so funny how with XM radio compression and DVD compression (ok blueray excluded), this age of Ipods--quality has gone to hell. My sat dish picture is pure CRAP even on a 525 line CRT. My shitty LCD monitor is way poorer quality than the Trinitron CRT I had on my first Dell. Interesting history.

Oh yeah...forgot to mention that I've got 3 magic carpet-like hovering CD players at home...That must be why this Hitachi world seems so real to me.
