This is a short video of approximately 200 Bonnevilles, which came to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Triumph Bonneville at the site of the original factory in Meriden.
We often get bikes turning up in 2's 3's etc , but this was something special - a great sight and sound.
Chatting to some of the bikers we found they had come from as far afield as Australia, Spain and Germany.

  • is there anything at all left of the old factory, I heard it's a housing estate now?

  • @67genxer

The old factory was knocked down and houses were built on it about 25 years ago. One road is called Bonneville Close. There is also a road called Daytona Drive. A memorial stone was put in place about 4 years ago in dedication to the factory. Bikers from all over the country and even from all over the world visit to look and take pictures of the old site.

  • I found two old Triumph engine casing when I moved into my house in Meriden. I have photos etc. They are fresh out of the factory and still in the brown paper wrappers. Who's interested? All proceeds go to the making of a British medical cannabis documentary in California. Buy a bike part to play a part? Who'll help me?

  • @46ksmith and Norman Hyde (the man and the company) has got the original Triumph factory gates, at his company premises :o)

  • @scotsmaninusa They still are those days, scotsmaninusa! I ride my Bonnie while wearing a Belstaff wax cotton jacket. (Me wearing it, that is, not the Bonnie!)
