  • Nice job but I have never seen anyone cut there face cut before there base cut. For example, when you make your first cut which should always be the base cut. That is what you use to aim your tree which ever way you want it. And if you do your face cut first it is much harder to aim the tree. If you are using this method I hope you are by yourself so you don't kill anyone You should watch wild land fire chain saws part 8.

  • FYI - The concept is sound however most saw mills would require the face cut be taken from the bottom up (stump side), not top down (log side). This produces a uniform butt log with a flush cut. The butt log is the clearest wood and therefore the most valuable. A log scaler would deduct 2 feet from the length of every butt log cut in this fashion. Pealer lengths for making plywood would be rejected outright. It's hard to cut uniform length boards when a piece of the log is missing.

  • @comodorose learn something new everyday :)

  • thanks for that video :) good one

  • This is better then expert villages idiot wood hacker .

  • Hi ho hi ho off to the woods I go.....

  • Nice to show this. Too many people use a sloping back-cut. It works until you need to use a wedge. The way you show should be used always.
