Fox News Instant Reaction To Justice Sotomayor Swearing-In

Immediately after Judge Sonia Sotomayor is officially sworn in as Supreme Court Justice, "Fox News Sunday" host Chris Wallace gives his thoughts.

The first thing he is keen to point out is that Chief Justice John Roberts "used notes" when giving Sotomayor the oath, invoking memories of the infamous stumbling when he administered the oath to President Obama on his inauguration.

Of Justice Kennedy being the only Justice to attend today's festivities, Wallace says: "He probably didn't have anyplace better to be, or maybe he was just being polite."

And of what to expect from Sotomayor, Wallace comments: "Once they get on the court, they don't have to rely on precedent, they can do whatever they want, and of course, as a lifeitme appointment, there's not much anybody can do about it."

Wow, it was Roberts that bungled Obama's swearing in. Roberts, after all, was the one who was supposed to administer the oath, and he presented it incorrectly. That's not Obama's fault.
