DSCN1064　ヒルクライマにとって、日本には伝説的な峠がある。風張峠の名前を聞けば、泣く子も黙る険しい峠です。走行していると八ヶ岳を走行しているようなロマンチックな錯覚に襲わ­れます。それも道理で、風張峠（かざっぱりとうげ）の標高は、１２１０ｍです。
だが、見かけとは大違いで、実は美ヶ原ヒルクライムを征服するなら、風張峠といわれるほどの難所。
ＪＲ青梅駅・奥多摩湖から、風張峠へ経由して都民の森駐車場・桧原村・ＪＲ五日市駅まで周回する事もできます。
この日、天気快晴、気温７℃。こんなにヒルクライマーは居たのかと、感激するほどのおびただしい人数が、奥多摩周遊道路からぞくぞく自転車が登ってくる。でも奥多摩湖が見­渡せて景観の良い月夜見山駐車場どまり。風張峠駐車場まで来る方は、ごくまれ。なお道程は、このビデオの２倍ある下るだけでも２０分を要する。
登ってきて都民の森駐車場方向に降りてくる方は、見かけない。話変わって、登りの険しい五日市側から登ってくる人はわたしを含めて、３人だけでした。その内の一人は、風張­峠と甲武トンネル交差点との間を、ピストンしていました。このような方が、美ヶ原ヒルクライムを征するのでしょうか。かなり超人的なかたです。
この日はまで、柳沢峠まで足をのばしたかったのですが、丹波村のバス折り返し場あたりで、引き返しました。我ながら、よく頑張りましたが、風張峠ダウンヒルには、わたしも­参りました。もちろん、風張峠に自転車で登るとカロリーが消費されて、ダイエットにも効果絶大です。振動系マシンでは、効果がありませんから！

For hill climber,there is a legendary mountain pass in Japan. If it hears a name, it is the steep mountain pass where the crying child falls silent. If the mountain pass conquers the Kazahari Pass ( 1,210m),the Utukusigahara hill climb; a difficult place as is said the Kazahari Pass.
I go by way, and the Kazahari Pass can go around it to the Tominomori parking lot / the Hibara-mura / JR Itsukaichi Station. It is weather beautiful weather, temperature 7 degrees Celsius on that day.
A bicycle climbs it one after another from the Oku-Tama tour road. Whether there was the leech climber so much a large quantity of number of people as I am moved. But I can look around Lake the Oku-Tama and go only as far as the parking lot of good viewing the Tukiyomiyama.
The forthcoming one is extremely rare to the Kazahari Pass parking lot. The Tominnomori that, besides, a person going down in the forest parking lot direction is miraculous. The person whom it climbed from the uphill steep the Itsukaichi side included me, and it was only 3. One of those seemed to do a piston between the Kazahari Pass and the Koubu tunnel crossings. Such a person will conquer the Utukusigahara hill climb. I am terrible. It was just on that day, and extended a trip to the Yanagisawa Pass; won, but, with bus lapel ground of the Tanba village, returned, but was good, and tried it hard, but I gave up in the Kazahari mountain pass downhill, too.
