Cabin Creek Boys complete in "Band" category at the 83rd Johnson County Old Time Fiddlers Convention on 22 August 2008. The selection performed are "Arkansas Traveler" and "Sugar Hill". This band came in 2nd place in category and fiddler Adrian Powell came in 2nd in fiddle category. Several cloggers joined in at the stage front. Held every year since 1925 somewhere in Johnson County, Tennessee this may be the longest running "old time" fiddlers convention in the southern Applachians. For the last 17 years it has been held at the "Old Mill Music Park" in Laurel Bloomery, Tennessee.

Allen Rutherford is great, just like his grandpa Enoch. Great to see a bunch of great people like the Cabin Creek Boys still carrying on this music. I'll be listening to yall from Danville, VA.
