E3 2011 is going on right now and it was also going on yesterday. Both Microsoft and Sony talked about the future of their gaming systems yesterday so I saved Sony's news for today's video. And later today I'll talk about Nintendo since their event is going on right now.
So this year at E3 2011 Sony said that they were sorry for the PlayStation Network outage again, and they announced that the PS3 is the number one Netflix streamer. They also announced their plans to bring a ton of new 3D games to the market and Move games to the market.
They also announced the NGP which will now be called the PlayStation Vita. The Vita will be an Android gaming device with an OLED touch screen, dual cameras, a quad core processor, and a touch pad in the back. Plus dual analog sticks. They showed off many games that use the new Vita and they all looked pretty good. It's coming later this year starting at $250 but the 3G model will be $300 on AT&T's network.
Sony also announced a brand new TV/Monitor that is PlayStation branded. It will be $500 and will be bundled with two 3D glasses and the Resistance game. It's a 24-inch 1080p monitor with stereo speakers and dual HDMI ports. And it's an LED backlit LCD 3D display. So I really don't like it all that much since it's pretty small and you still need glasses for the 3D. But many will like this $500 bundle when it arrives this fall.
