Homebrew longwire antenna launcher - M0VST

I tried quite a few different ways of getting my longwire up into the trees and found this the easiest by a long way!
I've tried casting over the tree with fishing rods, potatos on the ends of a bits of string!
The reel was £5 with line from a car boot sale, The piece of hazel came from an old walking stick I made years ago and my old faithfull Barnet Cobra slingshot.
Building time 15-20mins
Cost - about £15.

How did you attach the stick to the slingshot? Is there a branch that goes up into the handle?

@markbeermonster OK, screws. My slingshot has a little "door" in the bottom of handle to store shot in the handle, so I don't see how I could screw anything on securely. I'll have to think of something else. I suppose I could just use the slingshot and a separate fishing rod and reel. Either use a rod holder or have someone hold the rod while I fire.

@SeumasColm maybe cut some wood to fit inside the door and glue it in, then you can screw into it.

Otherwise maybe look out for another more suitable slingshot.
