Nice little Velvet Underground/Mazzy sound here. Different from the other song of theirs I know.

Gosh, I think The Spirit are good, but NOWHERE near on par with Mazzy. Considering that their music came from a decade earlier, I believe that it's extraordinary. Also, I believe that Hope had a better vocal ranger, as she could hit high notes very well, and I have not seen the lead singer of Duke Spirit hit notes outside the range of a garage band singer. Nonetheless, the raw nature of Duke Spirit is truly appealing.

You're right, this does sound rather Mazzy-esque! But most of their stuff isn't quite so mellow...I love them!
