Laxmikant Pyarelal clearly lifted this song from the original Tamil version ' Nila athu vanathu mele' from movie 'Nayagan' done by universal star Kamal Hasan.
In the original version, the music was none other than Maestro Ilayaraja.
By the way, Dayavan itself was remade from Nayagan.

Amazingly Feroz Khan's last big hit at the box-office, as a director, subsequent films sank without a trace...

yeah, its a pity that he couldn't repeat the success of his earlier movie like Qurbani, Janbaaz.....

Vinod and Feroz are amazing actors ,together they cam make miracle.
In The film Qurbani back in 1980 is still fresh and they did such a great job in that film.

Yes dear. Too bad that Feroz Khan passed away this year. Also back in 1980 Nazia Hassan who sang the wonderful song Aap Jaisa Koi also passed away in 2000. Its almost as all the good things have come to an end. Even Kishore Kumar is not with us now. Still we can always watch these great artists and pay our respects. May God bless them all.

This song used to be my favourite back in 1988 and I used to listen to it so much on cassette even before this movie came out. Its really amazing that so many of Feroz Khan's movies like Qurbani, Janbaaz and Dayavan had such great songs.
