@makulaf light weight is one thing but knowing how to adjust your trim according to your weight is another..

Im posting this comment more for my own personal benefit. ive got a 17 foot tunnel hull with a 150 black max and it has a jack plate and all that good stuff. please send me a message if you can help me with. When i take off lowered all the way down trimmed all the way down. Nail it pick up trim about 4 seconds worth up then hit the jack plate and pick the motor up about a foot and a half. boats barley on the water and throws a rooster tail so far does that sound right?

This guy is obviously wasted. what does he expect putting the front up that high then going that quick into the wind ahha. dum ass. you got lucky bud. you should have got really hurt there.

@tj387mirage - you are absolutely right mirage. that is not me in the video; i run an stv/260 and have seen too many people get wet over the years. things do happen fast, it is definitely not the sport for acting like a knucklehead.

21 feet is too short for a tunnel boat, not heavy enough to stay down, also he needs to ajdust his trim

Too short/too light??? try doing a search over at screamandfly, you will find thousands of us who run 18-19 ft tunnels 100mph+. The point of having a tunnel is to provide lift to not "stay down," and generally the lighter the better. You still have to be able to drive it though... not like this guy did. ;-)

How's the hull/transom after that?

not sure, it was not mine, but I would guess they are just slightly better than the driver's shorts were after that one. LOL Dude was lucky he landed wet side down, I have seen it go the other way too many times.
