pfft big woop i've been on a mexican sportfishing boat from the 60s that was only 30 ft long in bigger waves. The engine had broken down earlier and they restarted it with a log.

Windward Passage: between eastern end of Cuba and Haiti. Almost always blowing stink. Hence, Windward Passage.

The accusation that this was fake actually makes me feel really good. Good story value. I tell my friends (six of whom were on the boat with me) that people are actually convinced this was fake! Believe me, the view from the boat looked even more fake. Looked kind of sick actually.
