  • When I see Americans standing on the side of the road selling flowers in the hot sun or handwashing cars at the local carwash, instead of holding signs on teh side of the road asking for HANDOUTS like Americans do when they fall upon hard times (how often do you see Hispanics do that?), then I will believe that illegals "steal" American jobs.

  • And by the way, America does NOT have an obligation to give food stamps, free healthcare, and so forth to illegals. Do some research. My husband lived here illegally for years and never got ANYTHING for free. He worked his ass off doing hard labor for a family member and supported his family. I paid for his healthcare through my work benefits. He paid for his own college courses. Once he left, we struggled, and then my children got free healthcare. So again, not every illegal fits a mold

  • And those who think "EVERY illegal takes from Americans" and "steals" from citizens also need to do their research. That is a stereotype, and a VERY IGNORANT one at that. How can EVERY person in a group be the same? That would be like saying every white, black, or gay person is the same. There are plenty of illegals who are simply trying to support their families - who many times re citizens and then just end up on welfare when the spouse is deported...so what is worse?

  • Some people should really do their research before judging these immigrants. Take a trip to a third world country and see how they live. Can you imagine what it would be like to eat out of a dumpster and grow up without a pair of shoes until you were 12? Could you imagine what it would be like to try to serve in your military, only to get beaten, possibly to death? People living the great American life need to learn some empathy for others.

  • Every illegal here is taking from legal citizens and legal children. I'm in California and the public school system sucks because we are being overrun by illegals. However, employers paying slave wages to anyone being legal or illegal should be shot for human rights violations.

  • I would pay more for a box of tomatoes if it meant that an American would receive a livable wage for doing the job. But that won't happen because we have illegal workers who work for crumbs, ensuring that the wages stay depressed.

  • @slowitdownforme

You may admire a hard working immigrant, but it sounds like you don't admire a hard working American, or at least you seem to believe they don't exist.

  • Hate sheriff Joe, but I have no sympathy for illegal aliens. No such thing as "undocumented", it's just another word for trespasser.

  • @Pitttdog O but what a shame. You know what really is a shame is your lack of education and your arrogance. Frankly I don't see "out of work" people lining up to do the laborious work of the "foreigner." Do you?

  • @Bokismoki77 Ah, another uneducated person on the issue at hand. Guess what, Mexico's government is corrupt and like any corrupt government so is their law enforcement....maybe that's why people cross the boarder. O and uh, you say that the U.S "Tolerates identity thefts" and "gives them free health care"? Well guess what hon, I have no health care and have you ever seen a cop "tolerate" a gang fight? Guess not. And no, I don't have the government spoon feed me.
